Mission of ESCONDIDO SHINES

  1. To enhance the image of Escondido as an ideal place for safe and happy family life, as well as a productive environment for business and cultural development.
  2. To encourage youth and their families (both individual and community families) to reach out in community spirit and service.
  3. To provide opportunities for education and personal growth to enable all members of the community to realize a greater measure of the American ideals of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Why not pursue these grand ideals, set at the very foundation of this nation?

Method: SERVE—SALUTE—CELEBRATE

The slogan of Escondido Shines is based on the age-old expression that service is the rent we pay for the space we occupy. It begins as we learn to put service above self (SERVE). It expands as we interact within the community with respect and kindness to others (SALUTE).  It is energized as we join together in moments of success and achievement (CELEBRATE).
